Set over the final day of an independent film shoot, Earwig follows Maia, a longtime prompter for celebrated actress Elise. Kept close as a private crutch yet rarely acknowledged, Maia watches Elise struggle to maintain control, absorbing every dismissal and shift in the room until she starts to question the role she has played in Elise's life.
